FAQ
Which agents does Seedmux support?
Claude Code, Codex, Grok, OpenCode, Kimi Code, Pi, Antigravity and Devin. Seedmux runs the official command-line tools as they are, with your own accounts — it doesn't replace or modify them. Any other command works too; it's a full terminal.
Does Seedmux see my code or my conversations?
Your sessions run on your Mac and your own servers. When your phone connects through a relay, everything is end-to-end encrypted — the relay can't read it. Seedmux collects anonymous usage statistics, which you can turn off with one switch in Settings › Privacy & Permissions.
Do I need tmux?
For sessions that survive quitting Seedmux, yes. If it isn't installed, Settings › Terminal offers Install tmux…. On Linux hosts, Seedmux brings its own when the system's is missing or too old.
Will my agents behave differently inside Seedmux?
Only if you want them to: the per-agent switches in Settings › Agent decide whether agents started in Seedmux skip permission prompts. Everything else is the agent's own configuration. Seedmux adds a small hook to each agent's settings so it can show its status, and leaves your other entries alone.
Is there a Linux or Windows app?
The desktop app is for macOS. Linux machines join as remote hosts — you open panes on them from your Mac and see their sessions on your phone.
Is there an Android app?
Not yet. The phone app is iPhone only.
Does the iPhone app need my Mac to be on?
The phone talks to whichever machine runs the session. For sessions on your Mac, the Mac needs to be awake and connected. Sessions on Linux servers don't need the Mac at all. Conversations you've already seen stay readable on the phone either way.
My phone connects but shows no sessions.
Open Settings › Diagnostics on the Mac. It checks everything session status depends on, item by item, and tells you what's missing. Copy Diagnostics gives you a report to send us.
Can I use my own relay?
Yes — one command on a server and one field in Settings. See Run your own relay.
Where do I report bugs or ask for features?
On GitHub. The changelog lists what changed in every version.
