What is Seedmux

Seedmux is an agent development environment for the Mac: a native terminal built around the coding agents you already use — and an iPhone app that takes them with you.

If you run Claude Code in one tab, Codex in another and a test watcher in a third, you already know the problem. Agents finish while you're looking elsewhere. Permission prompts sit unanswered three splits deep. Quitting the terminal kills a two-hour task. Leaving your desk means leaving your agents.

Seedmux is built for exactly that way of working.

// works with
  • Claude Code
  • Codex
  • Grok
  • OpenCode
  • Kimi Code
  • Pi
  • Antigravity
  • + Devin

What it does

It knows what every agent is doing. Seedmux recognizes Claude Code, Codex, Grok, OpenCode, Kimi Code, Pi, Antigravity and Devin in any pane and shows their real state on the tab — working, waiting for you, or done. Agents at a glance →

It gets your attention at the right moment. When an agent asks for permission or has a question, the notch at the top of your screen lights up with the exact request. Approve it without hunting for the pane. Dynamic Island →

It never loses your work. Every pane keeps running when you quit, crash or update Seedmux. Reopen it and everything is where you left it. Sessions that survive ⌘Q →

It turns agents into a team. Ask the agent you're talking to for help, and it opens worker agents in panes beside it, hands out tasks and collects the results for you. Agent Team →

It goes where you go. The iPhone app shows every session on your Mac and your servers as a conversation you can read and answer — and it keeps working on a train, in a lift, or anywhere the signal comes and goes. iPhone → · Weak networks →

It reaches your other machines. Open panes on Linux servers over SSH, or pair machines that have no SSH at all. Use the official relay or run your own.

What it isn't

  • Not another agent. Seedmux doesn't replace Claude Code or Codex — it runs the official tools exactly as they are, with your own accounts and settings.
  • Not a web app. It's a native AppKit app with Ghostty's GPU renderer. No browser, no Electron.
  • Not a cloud service. Your sessions run on your Mac and your own servers. When the phone connects through a relay, everything is end-to-end encrypted; the relay forwards traffic but cannot read it.
